Jammie Peng

Jammie is an experienced engineer, recent MBA graduate, and dancer. She launched Joy Dance in May 2016. Her goal is to combine her passion for dancing, technology, and business in order to make dancing more accessible by providing an online portal and resources to support dancers. This blog is her first step.

Jammie started dancing as a little girl, starting with ballet and also did lots of different dances, on-and-off, over the years. In 2011, she first discovered Social Dancing while at Stanford but didn’t keep it up, but started seriously taking dance classes with Richard Powers after she got engaged to prepare for her First Dance at her wedding. She has since continued and fell in love with Social Dancing. After finishing the Social Dance series at Stanford as a follow, Jammie then took the classes as lead.

When not dancing or writing this blog, Jammie is enjoying life with her lovely husband in their home in San Francisco Bay Area and working on her startup.
