Today is World Lindy Hop Day!
About Lindy Hop
Google celebrated by featuring Frankie Manning, considered one of the founders of Lindy Hop, in its Doodle.
Did you know Lindy Hop might be named after the famed aviator Charles Lindbergh? He was nicknamed “Lucky Lindy” and was very popular after his non-stop flight from New York to Paris in 1927 and many people named things after him.
Let’s celebrate with a fun video of Lindy Hoppers from the 1941 film Hellzapoppin.
